Taquen

Taquen is a young Spanish artist born in 1992 in A Coruna and currently based in Madrid.
He started tagging in high school and he graduated in Fine Arts at the Complutense University of Madrid.
He sees urban art as a tool for positive transformation, which is something that reflects in his peculiar style. In a world ruled by speed, that wants us more and more as productive machines, Taquen’s unique color palette with his rounded lines are an invitation to enjoy slowness.
His works mix gently with the environment, gifting the places with a sense of peace and tranquility.
For Taquen the key to inspiration is change. In his view, being constantly on the move, travelling, discovering new places and meeting with other people is fundamental for growing both as a human being and as an artist.
His muse is Mother Nature and plants and birds are his favorite subjects. His deep love for nature comes from the strong belief that a good society is a society that stays in touch with the environment and where people can actually feel themselves as part of it.

>His first time in Italy was with Memorie Urbane in 2019. He realized walls in Terracina, Fondi and Castelforte for the project “25 Novembre”, born to fight violence against women.
