Mehdi Ghadyanloo (b. 1981, Iran), a Frankfurt-based artist, creates surreal yet familiar environments that invite us to interrogate universal human emotions. Mehdi creates his philosophical and poetic spaces inside architectural arrangements and often uses symbolic motifs. Through his paintings, Ghadyanloo investigates new realities and the possibility of finding hope despite feelings of confinement we receive from our surroundings. Mehdi is also known for large scale murals installed around the globe.
